BOISE, Idaho
– Daryn and Megan Colledge have announced a $150,000 donation to the Boise State Athletic Department. Colledge is a former offensive tackle for the Broncos (2002-05) and currently starts at left guard for the Arizona Cardinals.

Colledge was a four-year starter for the Broncos establishing a school record for consecutive games played and started at 52, before quarterback Kellen Moore broke the record this past season with 53 straight career starts.

The Colledge’s gift will go to enhancing the current Bronco weight room located in the Simplot Center for Athletic Excellence. Their donation will be used to replace and upgrade equipment in the facility which was originally built in 1988, and expanded in 2004 with the addition of the Fedrizzi Fitness Center.

"We are extremely grateful for all that BSU and the city of Boise have done for us,”Colledge commented. “We are excited for this opportunity to give back to our university, and we hope that with thisgift and others like it, BSU will be able to continue to give so much to Boise. We are grateful we can contribute to those who have supported us for solong."

A native of North Pole, Alaska, Colledge earned first-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors his junior and senior years (2004 and 2005) at Boise State. Colledge helped the Broncos to a four-year record of 45-7, four consecutive WAC Championships and four postseason bowl appearances. He was named the team’s outstanding offensive lineman three times and set several records in the weight room during his Bronco career.

“This gift from Daryn and Megan will allow us to make improvements to our current strength and conditioning facility that will help all of our student-athletes for years to come,” Boise State head strength and conditioning coach Tim Socha said. “The Colledge’s are very special people and have a great love for Boise State and the city of Boise. It means so much to us that they have decided to give back to the school that they have somuch pride in.”

Their willingness to give back is proof that they valued their time here at Boise
State”.

Colledge was a second round draft selection of the Green Bay Packers in 2006. In the next five years with the Packers he played in every game (80), starting 76. In 2010 he helped Green Bay to the NFL Championship with a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

In 2009 he was recognized by the Packers for his volunteer and charity work when he was named Green Bay’s Walter Payton Man of the Year.

Following the Packers Super Bowl victory, Colledge became a free agent and signed a multi-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals. Once again the reliable Colledge started every game for Arizona helping the Cardinals to an 8-8 overall record, including a 4-1 mark in the
team’s final five games of the season.
