Personality Bio
The Mike Jurecki dossier includes work in the hat trick of broadcasting mediums - print, television, and radio. He entered the sports media arena in 1996 as a board operator at XTRA Sports 910, the first all-sports talk radio outlet in the Valley, and quickly climbed the ladder into positions of producer, reporter, and eventually talk show host.

Voted by The Arizona Republic as “Radio Reporter of the Year” for 1998 and 1999, he’s hosted sports-talk shows while also served as the regional NFL contributor to Pro Football Weekly Magazine.

The debut of the “Vinny and Skinny” show in July of 1999 and “The Fastest 2 Hours in Sports” reached a pinnacle in the Spring 2000 and Fall 2001 Arbitron rating book bringing in the biggest numbers of any sports talk radio show in the Phoenix market. Their 1-3p.m. show checked in with a 4.2 and 4.5 share among the target audience of 25-54 year-olds. (Co-host Vince Marotta in 1999, 2000 and Dan Bickley in 2001.)

In the Spring of 2002, Mike joined Sandusky Radio as host of a four-hour talk show with former NFL offensive lineman Bill Lewis on KDUS 1060 AM, then later in the year served as sideline reporter for radio broadcasts of the NFL Arizona Cardinals, In addition, Mike regularly contributed to the team’s official web site, azcardinals.com, provides a column for the club’s “Cardinal Sidelines” newsletter, and makes frequent appearances on FOX Sports Arizona, the local entity for a nationally syndicated cable sports/news outlet.

Jurecki returned back to XTRA 910 in the winter of 2004 and is now doing a show with Arizona Republic Sports Columnist Dan Bickley; They can be heard Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on "The Valley Sports Leader XTRA Sports 910"

Notes from Coach Whisenhunt:

Ruled C- Al Johnson out of the San Francisco 49ers game in week 1, Second year Lyle Sendein will get the start at center.

He didn’t announce who the starting QB would be on Friday night against the Broncos.

The starters will likely play two series on Friday.

NT- Gabe Watson is scheduled to start practicing next week and will be removed from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

The starting right guard position between Deuce Lutui and Elton Brown will go down the wire.

Another tight battle is at the outside linebacker spot with Travis LaBoy and Bertrend Berry; LaBoy was an off season pick up from the Titans who got the start last week against the Raiders.

Antrel Rolle who missed the last few games because of a high ankle sprain will start this week at free safety and play more then the starters, the coaches want to make sure he’s prepared mentality and physically for the season; another words he needs reps!

Warner may get the start in KC!
Thursday 08-14-2008 4:54pm MT

Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt announced that he’s “thinking about starting Warner at QB"; a surprising move that Matt Leinart isn’t going to get the nod but in fairness to Coach, he’s maintained through out the off season and training camp that the it’s competition at every position. This allows Warner a chance to play with first stringers.

After Coach addressing the media, I was able to catch up with Kurt Warner to get his thoughts.
