Barry moved to Phoenix in 1979 and has never left. After graduating from Chaparral High School, Barry went on to ASU where he received both undergraduate and law degrees.
Barry is a partner in the Phoenix law firm Thomas, Thomas and Markson, where his practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation. In addition to his legal and radio work, Barry also serves on the board of directors for both charitable and legal organizations.
Barry is married and has two young sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his kids' baseball teams and playing and watching sports.
Chris Lewis has been the co-host of the Fantasy Forum for 19 years. He likes to say he started when he was 12, but we know better.
Originally born in NY (Long Island), Chris has been in the Phoenix metro area for 22 years and is an Arizona State Sun Devil alum. While he still roots for his hometown teams, the local squads have gained his loyalty over the years, and he has been a D-Backs season ticket holder since day 1 (and has remained so despite having to see Bauer every game).
Learned a valuable lesson tonight. I need to click the "work in progress" periodically on the blog. Otherwise a couple of hours of work just goes away when you get knocked off line.
Anyway, here are my week 3 picks. I was 9-6-1 last week so now I'm 16-14-2 on the season. Not bad. Considering I'm not good at picking games. Which I have warned you about before. I had explanations for each of these on the first blog...unfortunately now you are just getting the picks.
Bengals -1, Patriots -9, Texans +5.5, Miami +1, Titans -4.5, Lions -4, Carolina -3.5, Chargers -15, Jets -3.5, Ravens -3.5, Atlanta +1, Arizona -3, Packers -4, Steelers -11, Washington +6.5.
More fantasy news to come later...but I want to make sure this posts first!

Late Saturday night...but since I gave you my picks for week 1 last week...I figured I might as well get week 2 in before the games start tomorrow...so here it goes.
Week 1: 7-8-1. I told you I wasn't very good at this, but it's fun!
Saints -7 over Bears
Chiefs +8 over Lions (Lions win, Chiefs better than last week and cover)
Jacksonville +9.5 over Jets (Jets win, but don't cover)
Buffalo -4 over Oakland
Arizona +4 over Washington (not buying Rex Grossman)
Baltimore -6 over Tennessee
Pittsburgh -14.5 over Seattle
Green Bay -10 over Carolina
Tampa Bay +3 over Minnesota
Colts +2.5 over Cleveland
Dallas -3 over 49ers
Houston -3 over Miami
New England -6.5 over San Diego
Cincinnati +4.5 over Denver
Atlanta +2.5 over Philly
Giants -6 over Rams
So we'll see if week two is any better..
Fantasy: keep a close eye on injuries. Steven Jackson doesn't look like he will play, so Cadillac Williams may get most of the touches in St. Louis. Santonio Holmes will be a gametime decision early tomorrow. Calvin Johnson is also questionable.
Arian Foster looks like he will play...but will not get the full workload, and since they ran well without him, I imagine Ben Tate will get as many carries.
So keep an eye on them tomorrow morning...more updates throughout Sunday on Twitter @chrislewisforum
Hi folks- Just some notes on the night of NFL Sunday Week 1:
Hi folks. Chris from the Forum here. Wanted to get my picks documented before the season opener tomorrow (which of course will pre-empt our show this week). That's right...THE SEASON OPENER! For a long time this summer I didn't think this day would come. So here are my predictions for 2011 (and week 1 picks as well):
NFC West- Cards, Rams, 49ers, Seahawks. No one is great, the Cards should be at least decent. I think the Rams are still a year away from putting a division winner around Sam Bradford. Niners and Seahawks? You have to have a QB to win, and these teams still don't.
NFC South- Falcons, Buccaneers, Saints, Panthers. The Panthers better hope they get a win outside of their division. Julio Jones gives Matty Ice another weapon, and Ray Edwards should balance the pass rush. Love the Falcons. Saints are good but need more defensively, so I am picking the young Bucs to finish 2nd.
NFC North- Packers, Lions, Bears, Vikings. Lions are building steadily, but still a year away from playoffs. Packers are really good, and if they stay healthy they might repeat. Da Bears...well...they won the division last year...but Briggs and Forte are worried about contracts, and I just think the Pack and Lions will be better.
NFC East- Eagles, Giants, Cowboys, Redskins. I am not as big an Eagles supporter as many are, but I think they have enough talent to beat the injury-riddled Giants. Cowboys are the Notre Dame of the NFL...great publicity machine...overrated every year. Redskins? Shanahan has no QB.
AFC West- Chargers, Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos. Chargers are loaded; VJax will have a huge year. Chiefs will be very good as well, and despite Raiders improvement they will find it difficult to match 8-8. Broncos will be awful; will take John Fox time.
AFC South- Texans, Titans, Colts, Jaguars. Manning's injury is the ultimate wild card this year, and will keep the Colts out of playoffs. Titans will be better than people think. Great line, CJ is back. Jags? Really? Luke McCown? I probably would have chosen them as division champs if they had kept their QB.
AFC North- Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Bengals. Steelers are beasts...tons of weapons on offense and defense. If Ben stays healthy, look out. Ravens good, but lost some weapons (Mason, Heap, McGahee) on offense, and defense is aging with Lewis and Reed. Still very good. Browns will be better...maybe .500. Bengals will have to decide if they want to draft Andrew Luck with Andy Dalton already on the roster. They will be AWFUL.
AFC East- Patriots, Jets, Bills, Dolphins. I don't understand the Patriots moves this last week; cutting productive vets on defense. But Belicheat is usually correct. Jets will be good, Rex will need to generate pass rush. Bills vastly improved, just not enough to pass those top 2. Dolphins may challenge Bengals for awfulness.
Eagles over Bucs, Saints over Cardinals
Packers over Saints, Falcons over Eagles
Falcons over Packers
Jets over Texans, Chargers over Ravens
Chargers over Patriots, Steelers over Jets
Steelers over Chargers
SUPER BOWL: Atlanta 27, Pittsburgh 20. Love what Dimitroff did with this Falcons team in the offseason, and they kept it quiet as compared to the Eagles...who never did anything to fix their weakest spot...the O-Line.
OK...week 1 picks...but first a note. I am usually TERRIBLE and picking games against the spread. So please, these are for entertainment purposes only!
Green Bay -4.5 over New Orleans
Atlanta -3 over Chicago
Cleveland -7 over Bengals
Buffalo +6.5 over KC (KC wins, Bills cover)
Eagles +5.5 over Rams
Bucs -1 over Lions
Titans +3 over Jags
Houston -9 over Colts
Steelers +2 over Ravens
Cardinals -7 over Panthers
Chargers -9 over Vikings
Seattle +6 over 49ers (Niners win, Hags cover)
Giants -3 over Redskins
Jets -4 over Cowboys
Patriots +7 over Dolphins
Oakland +3 over Denver

Hope that helps you out some. I no, I didn't forget Tim Tebow or Terrell Pryor!
“All the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today,” James said. “They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that."
“They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point.”
So Basically in English he is saying, "When YOU wake up tomorrow you'll still have your problems, When I wake up tomorrow I'll still be AWESOME."
Thanks LaBron for those reassuring words, but you know who will more awesome tomorrow morning? The Mavericks... Well aside from any potential celebration hangovers.

Good morning, and Happy Week 10 to you. Just a reminder that this is the LAST week of byes...thank goodness. The bye weeks this week are Green Bay, New Orleans, San Diego and Oakland. This means the TOP 3 fantasy QB's this season- Rivers, Rodgers and Brees- are out this week.
Who are you replacing them with? A few thoughts: Josh Freeman is 10th in the league in Fantasy points for QB's. He's only starting in 46% of leagues, so you might still be able to get him in your lineup. Ryan Fitzpatrick is 5th in weekly scoring average...remember he didn't start the first two games. I can't imagine there are too many leagues that he hasn't been picked up in...but if he's on your roster, you are in good shape for this bye week.
Shaun Hill (DET) should be a great fill-in if needed. He has scored over 20 points in 3 of his 4 starts that he made it through. He has a higher per week average than Matt Schaub or Donovan McNabb. He is back in the lineup replacing Matt Stafford, and he gets to go against the Bills defense with a healthy Calvin Johnson.
And if all those guys are taken...well, you could go with Derek Anderson against a terrible Seahawks defense. I just hope interceptions don't kill you in your scoring system.
-- I've talked a lot about my own team lately. I'm sitting at 4-5 going into week 10...still within reach of the playoffs (one game back), but really a disappointing year. So I'm looking back...what went wrong in the draft? Here were my thoughts:
Round 1: Randy Moss- I thought it was safe to go with Mr. "straight cash homie" in a contract year. He's 35, he's going to want one more contract, he's got Tom Brady at QB, Welker is back to take some coverage away...it actually seemed like a no brainer.
Round 2: Shonn Greene- we certainly have discussed this one to no end on the show. Jets were the #1 rushing team in the NFL last year and have a great offensive line and a coach who wants to run and play defense (and they are 4th this year). Coach Ryan said Greene would be his "bell cow" this year..."bell cow" translates to "workhorse." And I wanted a young, up-and-coming guy instead of an old fading guy. No one saw the reincarnation of Ladainian Tomlinson coming...and really, that has been the only problem with Greene, who is averaging an excellent 4.5 yards a carry.
Round 3: Marques Colston- #1 receiver on the #1 passing team in the NFL. Oh well. New Orleans doesn't have the same offense, and Brees has spread it around to even more guys more often.
Round 4: Tony Romo...he was OK until the Giants broke him.
Round 5: Tim Hightower... I thought the Cardinals would run more behind Alan Faneca. And the Cards are 8th in the league in yards per carry at 4.3! But for some reason, Whisenhunt still is throwing 60% of the time...even with the worst QB situation in the NFL.
Round 6: Clinton Portis- a #1 back in round 6 with Shanahan as coach. Should be good value. Just hasn't been able to stay healthy.
So...it obviously hasn't gone as I had expected. But hindsight is 20/20. Malcolm Floyd was my next pick...that one was really good.
In the end, we make the picks we think are right...and then we hope our guys stay healthy and we get a few surprises. I've made some really good inseason moves...Aaron Hernandez, LeGarrette Blount, Steve Johnson, Josh Freeman. But to have all 4 of them in my starting lineup is certainly a surprise in week 10.
Some other key notes for week 10:
--ESPN is reporting that Kerry Collins will start for the Titans...Vince Young still not healthy enough to go.
-- Not a surprise, but Portis will sit at least one more week. Ryan Torain got some work done in practice on Friday, but didn't do a lot. He is a gametime decision, which is an issue since they play on Monday. Set your lineup accordingly.
-- Sidney Rice still not in the lineup for the Vikings.
-- a change of Chads in Miami, as Henne as been benched and Pennington will go.
--the Giants Steve Smith is out with a torn pectoral muscle. Duke Calhoun or Ramses Barden will be the #3 wideout.
Enjoy week 10. Hope the breaks go your way.

OK folks. We are more than halfway through the fantasy season. How are you doing? Cruising in first place because of all the great advice from the Fantasy Forum? Desperate and in last place because of all the great advise you got from the Fantasy Forum?
Well, I'm neither of those. Currently sitting at 4-3 in my league. I'd make the playoffs if they started today. But I'm hurting this week, coming off the big rivalry game loss to my radio partner, Mr. Markson. He won by six after my QB (Tony Romo) got knocked out on Monday Night Football (which you can hear right here on XTRA Sports 910!).
So...4-3, 6 games to go in the regular season...but my team is banged up. No Romo, Clinton Portis still injured...Tim Hightower is now the backup. Starting a sleeper this week, LaGarrette Blount of Tampa Bay. I figure he's got a puncher's chance of getting me some points against that vaunted Cardinal defense this weekend. I'm looking for a high scoring game in Glendale, since I'm also starting TB QB Josh Freeman after the loss of Romo.
Speaking of Romo...do you believe in Fantasy karma? I'm a New Yorker...I root for the Giants. I hate the Cowboys. So why would I draft Tony Romo in the first place? I don't want to root for the Cowboys...but I put myself in that position. So it serves me right, I guess, that my Giants broke Romo...and possibly my fantasy team at the same time.
So far this season, my first round pick was traded from Tom Brady's team to old man Favre's team...my second round pick is now a backup behind the rejuvenated LaDainian Tomlinson...I traded my 3rd Round pick (Marques Colston) two weeks ago for Brandon Jacobs...and my fourth round pick has a broken collarbone and will miss the rest of the fantasy season. Hightower and Portis were next. So you tell me how I am 4-3? Coaching my friends, coaching.
Anyway...enough about my team...and more about this week's games:
-- have you noticed the performance of Gilbert Highland's own Ryan Fitzpatrick? He had 382 yards and 4 touchdowns against the stellar D of the Ravens last week. If he's still available, go GET HIM. I tried to this week...one week too late. He is the highest rated passer in the NFL since week 17 of last season (at least that is what the announcers on the broadcast said on Sunday).
-- Joseph Addai is doubtful for Monday night against the Texans. Donald Brown and Mike Hart should go for the Colts.
-- Brett Favre says his ankle has improved greatly...and he expects to start on Sunday. Of course his coach has said no such thing. He'll start...but will he finish? I would stay away. He hasn't been that good anyway.
-- Beanie Wells will start for the Cardinals. It's about time. Hightower may be a better pass blocker...but he puts the ball on the ground WAY too much.
-- Vincent Jackson finally signed his tender...but that means he still sits for three more weeks. So if you think you have a late run in you, maybe pick him up now for the playoffs if he's available.
Enjoy the games. We'll actually be on the air this week, Thursday night from 6-8 pm on XTRA 910 in Phoenix and www.xtra910.com. And you can follow us on Twitter at @chrislewisforum and @bmarkson.
